Welcome to Mommies in the City

MISSION
To provide a safe, secure, FREE place for mothers to find support and encouragement from other mothers and to empower them to be better women, parents and community leaders.

PHILOSOPHY
No one should have to pay a fee to make a friend, so we offer free membership to any mother within the community who wishes to join. Members gain camaraderie and support through an online forum that is available 24 hours a day and events around the area where mothers can meet face-to-face and develop real friendships that can last a lifetime.
We believe that, working together, mothers can change the world - one family, one neighborhood, one community at a time. Mommies in the City is a connecting force, helping us each to make a difference in our own lives, in our families and in the places we call home.

ABOUT US
Mommies in the City grew out of the hope for a safe, friendly atmosphere. It's a place where moms of all races, at any point in their life can come together for friendship and support. It's a free online community with user groups throughout all of the Tri-Cities, TN area. We chat online about scrapbooking, relationships, motherhood and any thing in between. We meet up regularly around town and have much needed Mommies' Night Out. Our members are real mothers in the real world. We help our neighbors as well as ourselves through fundraisers and other charity events.

We chat online in a private forum - discussing everything from the best photographers to the worst temper tantrums and all that lies between - and meet-up regularly at member-driven events around town. Whether it's a late night commiseration on a crying baby (there will be 4 am posts to prove it) or a Mom's Night Out, Mommies in the City provides what our members need, when and how they need it.

But Mommies in the City is more than just a community of moms. It's moms in and for the community. Our members work full time, stay home full time, work part time, represent many races, are pregnant for the first time, are adoptive moms, were adopted themselves, recently moved to the area, have lived here all our lives, have twins, are happy with one, are single moms, are searching out schools and have watched their kids graduate. In other words, we are a reflection of mothers in the real world. And we help out our neighbors as much as ourselves through organized fundraisers and other charity events - specifically those focused on providing for mothers and their children.
